Learn how to read and structure poetry while reflecting the mind in this four-week course!
Take part in a comfortable beginner-friendly workshop that will help unveil the mysteries of reading poetry closely, and help better structure and reflect your mind in your own work in this four-week course with poet Francis Hesketh.
If you can, please bring poetry with you to the workshop, whether your own or work that inspires you – the workshops will involve discussing what makes a poem a poem and will explore forms such as sonnets and sestinas.
The workshops will take place on Fridays from 2pm–4pm, starting July 21st and finishing on August 11th. As part of our Come Together arts programme we will host a joint exhibition with work from all the workshops on August 12th.
Materials and light refreshments will be provided. Participants must be age 16+.
We’re able to provide these workshops at a subsidised rate thanks to Arts Council funding.
Come Together is a creative programme of workshops designed to put on a variety of classes in the rural Moneydarragh Area! This project has been kindly funded by the National Lottery Fund and Arts Council NI.
